Perhaps it’s time to strongly consider your choice of web browser. These days (in 2019) Google Chrome has gained a significant portion of the browser market. I believe it is certainly, in part, due to decent performance and features - but its wide-spread use also stems from familiarity gained from market penetration of Android devices and the infamous Google search engine itself. They also use a number of less than welcome tactics to stay-in-your face, so to speak.

Perhaps giving an alternative is a good choice now.
At minimal, it may help keep Google on their toes.

If you’ve not tried another, go for it, even Microsoft Edge.
However, I personally still think Firefox is a better choice than any other.
